Scripture:

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” — Mark

12:31

God assumes self-love is part of a healthy life.

Not pride. Not ego. But care.

When you neglect yourself, you don’t become more holy-you become depleted. God does not benefit from your burnout.

Today, release the guilt attached to caring for yourself. It was never God’s voice.

Prayer:

Lord, help me understand that caring for myself honors You. Remove the guilt that keeps me from rest and balance. Amen.

Reflection Questions:

Where have I confused self-love with selfishness?

What does healthy self-care look like for me right now ?

WOW. Now that’s a totally different take on that scripture and self-care that I LOVE. I can’t even find the appropriate words to explain how impactful this is.

We, women, struggle to care for ourselves but it’s actually biblical. Stop striving, care for self and let God be God. Amen.
